Our Origins
Our WATCHKA name brings together three ancient Greek gods of time
Chronos
Born of Uranus (the Sky) and Gaia (the Earth), this un-ageing god is an all-devouring and unstoppable force, representing linear time: the hours, the minutes, the seconds, the past, the present, the future.
Kairos
The youngest son of Zeus and representing metaphysical time, the critical moment or the perfect time, with links to luck or opportunity. Kairos has winged feet to fly like the wind. With a single forelock of hair, he can be caught from the front, once he has passed he cannot be captured.
Aion
The Hellenistic deity associated with cyclical time, representing the universe, the seasons and the zodiac. Aion represents perpetual, unbounded, ritual, and cyclic time without ending.
